The Tale of Oedepuis and the Sphinx

The Tale of Oedepuis and the Sphinx is Greek and unlike most greek monsters it is intellgent but that doesn't stop it from its diet of human flesh!
The Tale of Oedepuis and the Sphinx starts of when Oedepuis, a traveler goes to the Greek city, Thebes where he finds the people terrifyed
The people told him there reason to be afraid: A monster called the Sphinx was terrorizing the city called the Sphinx that would kill anyone who couldn't answer it's riddle
After the story the people told him he said he would and try to answer the riddle the people said that he couldn't answer it, but he got his way.
He went and answered the riddle: What goes on two feet in the morning, Two on the afternoon, and three on the night? The answer: Man.
After defeat the Sphinx hurled iself against a mountain and Oedepuis was crowned king and ruled over the Thebans
This is what I learned and know about the story: Never give up by a long shot. Never.
